Cover letters are generally attached along with the resume, and it is also used with certain business matters. It is a letter that grabs the reader’s attention and is the first impression you make on the employer. The main purpose of the cover letter in case of the job hunt is to allow the reader to know you in brief, before he or she reads the resume.
It should specify the best points about you and how different you are from others and why you should be considered for the job or any business.
Cover letter should not be longer than three to four paragraphs. In the first one give a brief introduction of yourself and the position you are applying for and why you are applying etc.Add some points, which show that you have some knowledge of the company and the position you are applying for. Briefly write about the education, qualifications, experience and your achievements and interest, which match with the employers needs .End the letter with the strong statement which suggests that you are the best candidate for the position and also that you are looking forward to an early reply.
Cover letters should also specify different points from the resume like the work gap or the change of job briefly. The letter should portray some enthusiasm and creativity and also that you are familiar with the company and position.
