Delegation letters are very important in any business or place of employment as it is considered as one of the important management skills. It’s the best way to delegate the responsibilities to other employees. The important aspect of the delegation letter is that it should clearly specify the responsibilities that have to be delegated, what exactly is the objective you are hoping to achieve and also the deadline of when you want the work to be completed.

Delegation letter should clearly mention if the person who has been delegated with extra responsibilities is getting any kind of bonus or compensation for the work, whether he or she has to work extra hours to complete the delegated work or whether other employees should take up the responsibilities of the employee who has been delegated the work.

Explain why you are delegating the work to the particular employee by appreciating his work and his ability to complete the delegated work. It is also a way of releasing a person who has been already delegated with work and someone else taking it over. It should also provide the proper reason why you are delegating the work. While delegating a work if you think that the employee should be given training then mention that also in the letter.
