Information letter as the name suggests is the letter to inform the reader about an event or offer or any other information. It can be both formal and personal in nature. These letters should consist of information that is asked for or the information that the reader needs to know without making the letter lengthy.
If it is a letter responding to an inquiry the information should be given immediately with full details in such a way the reader avoids sending you another letter for clarification. When writing an information letter, write as though the person is in front of you and what question he might ask you when you provide the information. The tone of the information letter should be courteous and the letter should be short and concise.
Information letter is also a Notification letter notifying the reader of what is expected to be done,like the plan of action for the particular event or job etc.There are many types of letters that require to give information like an advice letter, complaint letter an inquiry letter etc.While responding to a complaint or inquiry accept or acknowledge the enquiry and thank the reader for the interest shown to know the information. For such letters the response should be send immediately with offer for further assistance.
If the information letter is informing about any good news like the promotion letter, appreciation letter etc, congratulate and appreciate the person for their time and effort and for the achievements. Always express the true feeling without and negative statements. This gives the reader an assurance that his or her effort is been recognized by others.
