Legal Letters
Legal letters are letters, which explain what your argument is and why you want to take your argument to court. It should clearly specify the amount or damages you are claiming or the remedy you are seeking. The letter is sent to the person whom you have the issue with. If the person doesn’t take any action to your problem you can forward the letters to the court.
The legal letter should be very clear and concise. Explain the problem clearly so that there no misunderstanding. Write it briefly and not in haphazard manner.Step by step explanation of what had happened should be given so the reader doesn’t get confused. Be courteous and polite and explain what you want to accomplish from the reader and what steps you would take if s/he doesn’t follow the letter. Do not use abusive language or show your anger or frustration. The focus should be always to get the issue resolved. Do not use threatening language but be firm in telling that you are serious about the matter and would like it to be resolved.
Be to the point and straightforward and convey the message to the reader that you are serious about a lawsuit if the problem is not resolved. Always keep enough copies of the letter for future use.
