Nomination Letter
Nomination letters are letters in which the writer vouches for the qualities, characteristics or abilities of the person being nominated with respect to the employment or the person’s ability to perform a particular work. Nomination letters are written specifically for the person who is being nominated.
Start the letter by identifying the person you want to nominate and give a small introduction of the person’s qualities and achievements which makes him or her the right candidate for nomination. Identify the criteria for the nomination and how the person meets the criteria. Get the details of the person from the Resume of the person or by involving the person in the discussion so that the person gives the complete details of his achievements and accomplishments etc which are not specified in the cv.
Provide the complete details with facts and example that gives the reader an assurance that he or she is the right candidate to be selected. The introduction of the nominee should be impressive so that it grabs the attention of the reader. The letter should be short and with positive statements.Do not write anything negative about the nominee. If required, solicit reference letters that support the person nominated.
A nomination letter should clearly specify the services provided by the nominee and how the nominee has gone beyond his or her capabilities to complete the service. Explain clearly the result of the service and how it has benefited others.
